The 100 Most Innovative Female Owned Businesses in Nigeria

The month of March is globally recognized as Women’s History Month, with the 8th of March dedicated to the commemoration of International Women’s Day annually; the theme for this year is “be bold for change”.

 

Invicta Africa and SME100 Nigeria, a platform that provides small business owners with access to networks, capacity building, finance and markets presents the maiden edition of its 100 Most Innovative Female Owned Businesses in Nigeria.

 

The 100 Most Innovative Female Owned Businesses in Nigeria list showcases and celebrates the efforts of female Nigerians who have leveraged on the digital disruption in industries, changing consumer trends and new market segments in the creation of innovative products and services that offer real value to their customers.

 

The list which cuts across various industries such as fashion, healthcare, agriculture, beauty and so was put together in recognition of the strategic role that the Female Economy has played over the decades in the growth and development of the nation.

 

The businesses featured here were selected based on their creativity, innovation, opportunities for growth and expansion, contributions to their chosen industries as well as their potentials in improving the lives of women and the girl child.

  • This list isn’t inclusive or participatory at all.
    It should be renamed 100 most innovative businesses based in Lagos. It’s skewed to Lagos based female owned businesses without considering women doing fantastic things in other parts of the country and hence unfair to name it 100 most innovative female owned businesses in Nigeria.
    Yes, granted Lagos is the hub of business and enterprise in Nigeria but there’s more to Nigeria than Lagos.
    I suggest the organisers update this list or look into the selection in the future as there abound women in other parts of Nigeria: Kano, Abuja, Portharcourt etc doing great things and this list doesn’t capture them at all.
