Akinwunmi Ambode

Governor of Lagos State

Akinwunmi Ambode is an accountant, an administrator and a public finance management expert. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Brandsmiths Consulting Limited – a firm that specializes in public sector finance management. Ambode was formerly the Accountant-General of Lagos State, Nigeria, and held many sensitive financial positions in the Lagos State government in a 27-year career in the Lagos State Civil Service. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is the founder of La Roche Leadership Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on developing the next generation of leaders.


Mr. Herbert Wigwe

Managing Director, Access Bank

Mr. Wigwe started his professional career with Coopers and Lybrand Associates, an international firm of Chartered Accountants. He spent over 10 years at Guaranty Trust Bank where he managed several portfolios including Financial institutions, Corporates and Multinationals. He left Guaranty Trust as an Executive Director to co-lead the transformation of Access Bank Plc in March 2002 as Deputy Managing Director. He was appointed Group Managing Director/CEO effective January 1, 2014.

He is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School Executive Management Programme. He holds a Masters degree in Banking and International Finance from the University College of North Wales; a Masters degree in Financial Economics from the University of London and a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Mr Wigwe is the Chairman of The Access Bank (UK) Ltd  and Interim Chairman of Nigerian Mortgage Refinance Company Plc.

Pastor Ighodalo started his professional career in 1982 at Pricewater House and later founded Ighodalo & Co, a professional public Accounting firm in January 1987, it merged together with 3 other firms in Oct 2004 to form SiAO, a professional accounting firm providing, audit, tax and advisory services. Pastor Ighodalo sits on the board of several companies , such as Elizabeth R, Trinicorp, Capital Gate, HEBRON Micro Finance Bank, BRASS Aviation, Trinity Leadership School, SBS Schools and CKC Schools. He sits on the board of several corporate, charitable organizations and NGOS as Chairman and Director, including FAMAD Nig. Plc., FINATRUST MFB, The Clinix Diagnostic Center, Standard Bearers School, the Courage Education Foundation, Edensfield Health Initiative, ELPIS Mental Health Initiative, Heritage Homes and others. He serves as a Director of NSIA Insurance Limited. Pastor Ighodalo served as Non-Executive Director of Chams Plc since June 28, 2017 until July 5, 2017. He has written and published several articles, papers and books. Pastor Ituah has sat on various government panels’ (State and Federal), and has been an adviser/consultant to government at different levels. He is on the Council of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce and the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association. He is the Pastor-in-Charge, Trinity House. Mr. Ituah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria, member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, member of the American Society of Industrial Security and member of the American Institute of Management. Pastor Ighodalo attended King’s College Lagos and the International School, University of Ibadan. He obtained a B.Sc combined honours degree in Economics and Accounting in 1982 from the University of Hull, England and attended a Business Certification Course at Harvard Business School in 2011. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in July 1986.

Olukayode Pitan

Mr. Olukayode Pitan serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at First Interstate Bank since September 2004. Formerly he was an executive director in FSB International Bank Plc and has over 18 years working experience in the banking and financial sector. He graduated from University of Ibadan in 1982 with a Second Class Upper degree in Economics as UAC Scholar. He also holds a Masters degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of Management (Thunder Bird) in Arizona as a Rotary International Scholar and has attended several financial, banking and management courses abroad and in Nigeria. These include senior Management programme of Lagos Business School and senior executive programme of the London Business School. Mr. Pitan started his working career in Nigeria with Arthur Andersen between 1983 and 1984, and banking career in 1986 with Nigeria International Bank (Citibank) before moving to Industrial Bank Limited (Merchant Bankers) now City Express Bank Limited. He left City Express Bank to become the pioneer chief executive of Credit Lease Nigeria Limited and joined FSB International Bank Plc in 1996 as assistant general manager in charge of Public Sector and Middle Tier Market.

Zainab Ahmed was born 55 years ago in Kaduna State.
She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1981 and an MBA from theOgun State University, Ago Iwoye.
She started work in 1982 as an Accountant in Kaduna State Ministry of Finance in Kaduna State and moved to Nigerian Telecommunication Ltd (NITEL) in 1995 where she worked in various departments and rose to the rank of the Deputy General Manager (DGM).
In 2010, she was appointed to serve as the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative

Dr Kabir Kabo Usman

Dr Kabir Usman holds a PhD in Chemistry from Manchester University UK; a Masters degree in Chemical Technology from Manchester University UK and a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Bayero University, Kano. He is a member of the Association of College Managers UK and Royal Society of Chemistry UK.

He has been in the education sector since 1981. He has taught in Schools, Colleges and Universities. He has managed human resources as an experienced Manager in the sector. Dr Kabir started his career as a lecturer in institutions in the UK, Kano, University of Manchester and Manchester College. Prior to his role as Director General and Chief Executive Officer for CMD, he was the Technical Adviser to National Authorising Officer (NAO), Technical Adviser to The MINISTER OF EDUCATION and Assistant Principal at Manchester College of Arts and Technology.

Akin Oyebode

Executive Secretary of the Lagos Employment Trust Fund (LSETF)

Akintunde Oyebode is a trained Economist, passionate about sustainable development, sustainable finance and youth unemployment. He began his career as a Research Assistant at the Lagos Business School, and spent over a decade in various banking roles with First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and Stanbic IBTC Bank. Akin is the pioneer Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), established to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for job and wealth creation and to tackle unemployment. His key focus at the LSETF is on promoting entrepreneurship by improving access to finance, strengthening the institutional capacity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and formulating policies designed to improve the business environment in Lagos State. Prior to his role as Executive Secretary of the LSETF, Akin was the Head of SME Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank.

Zubair Ayodele

Zubair Ayodele is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), member of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN). He has over 34 years working experience, which started with the Price WaterHouse Chartered Accountants, before venturing into private practice in 1987 with the Hamzat Subair and Co. Subair, the pioneer Director of Lagos State Lotteries Board, has worked with various international agencies such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Prince Rotimi Ogunleye

He was a Principal Counsel at Rotimi Ogunleye & Associates, and member of Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch. A product of University of Ife (1983) and Lagos State University (LASU) 1998, bagged Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Laws. Honourable Folami Muslim is a Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management, Nigeria Institute of Chartered Administrator and member of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Administration.

He obtained his Diploma in Business Management and Advanced Diploma in Business Administration. He bagged a Master Degree in Human Resources Management from Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos.

He joined Lagos State Public Service in 1971 as Clerical Officer, having obtained a thorough training in his career, he rose through the ranks to the Post of Principal Auditor in 1979. In 1980, he was seconded to the Local Government Revenue Board as Head in the Directorate of Finance and Supply.
