
Open to entrepreneurs from all industries and areas of specialization, the annual SME100 25 under 25 Awards has returned this year to celebrate outstanding young Nigerian entrepreneurs under the age of 25 and is calling for nominations by individuals to nominate their favorite small business owners.
The award equips founders of early-stage and growing startups with the support and resources needed to transform their audacious ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures. Honorees get access to an 8-week intensive program specifically designed to enhance various aspects of their businesses and provide them with valuable tools for improvement.
According to Remi Ademiju, CEO of SME100, “Nigeria is a youthful population and the 25 under 25 Awards is an avenue for us to tap into the youthful potential and support young entrepreneurs for success.”

To be eligible for nomination:
- The founder must be a Nigerian.
- The founder(s) must not be older than 26 at the time of receiving the award and the company must have existed for at least 2 years.
- The company must be contributing to social-economic development in Nigeria.
- The business must be duly registered under the Cooperate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.
- The line of business must be ethical and in accordance with Nigerian laws.
“This is the 8th edition and we aim to create an immersive entrepreneurial growth experience: An incubation program, leadership meetup sessions, a vibrant community, and investment opportunities are some of the initiatives put in place to further inspire and develop the entrepreneurial potential of the awardees”, further stated by Remi.

The nomination portal is open until August 28, 2023. Winners will be inducted into a vibrant, lifelong community comprising 400+ young entrepreneurs, supported by a robust network of world-class mentors and advisors who are leaders and change-makers in various sectors.
Notable beneficiaries of the award are Doyinsola Afolabi, CEO of Beauty Line by Didi; Florence Otedola (DJ Cuppy), Yasmin Bello-Osagie, Tuke Morgan, among many others.
